Ben Wightman, Au.D.
Doctor of Audiology
Ben began at Sound Advice in February of 2017. He received his B.A. from Michigan State University and Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. Prior to joining Sound Advice, he worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs, the University of Michigan, and one of the larger hearing aid manufacturers.
Ben’s interest in audiology stemmed from his grandpa who waited too long to be treated for hearing loss. Dale Wightman, who was typically the life of the party, gradually withdrew and didn’t socially participate as much as he always had. When Ben realized he could help others seek treatment so that their hearing loss didn’t negatively impact their quality of life, he knew he found the perfect career in audiology.
Ben resides in Plymouth, MI. When he isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his son Julian, going to the gym, reading, watching movies, or rooting for his Spartans.
Teri comes to Sound Advice with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the hearing healthcare industry. Her background is management of human resources in home healthcare. She has a strong passion for caregiving.
Teri is a lifelong resident of Michigan and resides here with her husband of 22 years and children.
She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.

Throughout her graduate studies at Wayne State and prior to joining Sound Advice, she worked in pediatrics, private practices, and major hospital systems such as the University of Michigan, Henry Ford, and Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
Hannah resides in Canton, MI with her fiancé, Kyle, and dog Nala. When she isn’t working she enjoys hiking trails in Michigan, spending time with friends and family, playing tennis, chasing Nala around the yard, and rooting for the Michigan Wolverines.
